Capturing your brand from above – with precision, creativity, and compliance.
If you’ve never booked a professional drone shoot before, it’s easy to assume it’s just “showing up and flying a drone.” But high-quality aerial photography and video — the kind that elevates your brand and engages your audience — takes more than just a flight licence and a camera.
Whether you’re looking to promote your business, document a space, or create social media content that stands out, this guide will walk you through what to expect from the process.
Before the Shoot: Planning, Permissions & Creative Direction
Site Assessment
Every shoot begins with a conversation — we’ll ask about:
- Your goals for the footage (e.g. social media, website, ad campaign)
- The location and environment
- Any time or access restrictions
We may conduct a pre-flight assessment of the site to identify potential risks, flight zones, or line-of-sight limitations.
Permissions & Compliance
As a CAA-approved drone operator, we take care of all legal requirements:
- Airspace checks NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) if applicable
- Public and site safety considerations
- Insurance coverage
- Full Risk Assessment and Flight Plan
You won’t need to worry about legal paperwork — we handle that for you.
Creative Brief
Drone shoots are most effective when part of a bigger vision. Together, we’ll define:
- Key shots or sequences you want to capture
- Tone and mood (e.g. cinematic, fast-paced, informative)
- Output requirements: resolution, format, orientation (vertical for socials, widescreen for web)

On the Day: Professional, Efficient and Safe
We’ll arrive with all necessary equipment and complete our on-site pre-flight checks. We use industry-standard drones and additional camera systems to ensure we capture exactly what you need.
A Few Things You Can Expect:
- A clear plan and timeline for the shoot
- Coordination with any site staff, contractors, or participants
- Creative input on composition and camera movement
- Multiple takes if required for editing flexibility
We aim to be efficient and respectful of your time, while capturing as much visual value as possible.
Post-Production: Editing & Delivery
After the shoot, we move into editing — where the real magic happens.
- Colour grading to make your footage pop
- Stabilisation and sound design where needed
- Multiple edits optimised for your needs (e.g. social cuts, YouTube feature, website background)
We’ll always provide final files in easy-to-use formats, and we can also advise on how best to distribute the footage across social media platforms.
What You Get With Every Shoot
- Fully licensed, insured, and CAA-compliant drone operator(s)
- High-resolution photography and/or 4K video
- Story-led creative support
